Staff training
The practice is closed from 1pm on the third Wednesday of the month for staff training purposes. If you need to contact us during this time, please phone the practice and listen to the message. If you have been asked to attend the practice during this time, then please access the building by using our intercom. Alternatively, you can contact the practice online at any time between 8am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday, where you can submit medication requests, admin queries and requests for appointments.

Evening and weekend appointments
- Appointments are available to book between 6:30pm and 8pm on weekday evenings and between 9am and 5pm on Saturdays.
- Saturday service, where you can access face to face GP, first contact practitioner and nurse appointments will be held at Violet Lane Medical Practice, 231 Violet Lane CR0 4HN. Please contact us to book an appointment.
- If you have been offered an extended access appointment after 6:30pm at Friends Road Medical Practice, please access the building by using our intercom.

If you need help when we are closed
We are open from 8am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday, excluding public and bank holidays. The following out of hours services are available when you feel a medical problem has arisen that needs urgent attention:
NHS 111
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Based at Croydon University Hospital (CUH), London Road it is open 24 hours a day for patients who have an injury, or whose health has suddenly deteriorated and will need treatment urgently; for example, a suspected heart attack, severe breathing difficulties or head injury.
