Flu Vaccinations

We are inviting all eligible patients to have their flu vaccine. If you haven’t had your vaccine yet, please call us on 020 8688 0908 to book an appointment. Please also look out for text messages which will include a link to enable you to book an appointment online.

Flu is a serious and potentially life-threatening infection and it is highly recommended that you are vaccinated.

Eligible patients for a free flu vaccination are:

  • those aged 65 & over
  • those aged 6 months to under 65 years, who are in a clinical risk group all children aged 2 or 3 years old on 31 August 2023
  • those in long-stay residential care homes
  • carers and close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
  • primary school aged children from Reception to Year 6 (please note these patients will be vaccinated at school)

We will be holding flu vaccination clinics throughout October, November, and December 2023. We will also have a dedicated flu clinic on Saturday 11th November 2023 between 09:00am and 12:00pm (this clinic may be extended depending on demand). Please call us on 020 8688 0908 to book an appointment.

Covid Vaccinations

The National Booking service (https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/covid-19-services/covid-19-vaccination- services/book-covid-19-vaccination/) is available for eligible patients to book their Covid booster at a local pharmacy. Please note that Friends Road Medical Practice will not be administering Covid vaccinations.

Eligible patients for a free covid vaccination are:

  • those aged 65 & over
  • those aged 6 months to under 65 years, who are in a clinical risk group those in a care home for older adults.
